It’s all about the people! I truly love #Currybusiness. Such a fantastic way of having good conversations, generally a good giggle and a little insight with other people’s businesses, what they do, why they do it etc. And not forgetting the Curry! Oh I do love a curry!
Last night’s meeting was held at the Shalimer restaurant in Waterlooville, and for me personally, one of my favourites. Each to their own, as Curry is in general!
This months local charity is Smile support & care, with a new respite care centre recently opened in Waterlooville. Smile provides support to children and young adults with disabilities, a respite centre offering short breaks to families where a child requires 24/7 hour care and the latest in specialist equipment and day care facilities too. Smile chairman Mr Steven Clarke, pictured here with Mark Tillison. A good sum of £150 raised, more awareness and I know further connections were made. Good stuff and happy smiley faces!
Yes, like lots of other networking, a good chance to catch up with the regulars and I do find it’s always better to chat face to face, a little laugh, and truly connect with like minded business people. There are always new faces too and last night was no exception. For me though, one particular person shined bright as her energy came through in ambundance as did her passion for her work. Furthermore, she has no website… WHOA! Really? Word of mouth is a powerful tool and naturally the best way for all businesses receiving new clients through the door. Old school ways, yet without a doubt, a winning combination of passion and trust, exceptional knowledge and an eager streak to continually learn, grow and keeping updated within your specific service, leads to constant referrals and good business, so who needs a website! In such a competitive market and with today’s necessity for cyber control, this really was a breath of fresh air and a touch of reality!
It’s all about the people!
