Thank you Leslie Kelly,  for this…

Entrepreneur  –  Definition

a person who set’s up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of  profit.

“many entrepreneurs see potential in this market”

A truly inspiring evening at the recent FMN meeting, with it’s location on this occasion being held at Portsmouth University in Southsea.  Female Entrepreneur Network is a bi-monthly meeting to celebrate and support  female entrepreneurs  across the South Coast, to connect face to face and learn from each other.

The first of the two speakers this evening is Leslie Kelly who gave a great talk about how she set up and runs her successful business “Believe in Wellbeing”,  a qualified homeopath and holistic therapist.   She did make me giggle a few times, especially with the realisation yet again that all businesses, (not just me) go through the rocky uphill struggle of self analysis, on a daily basis, and I too never considered my self to be an entrepreneur, leaving that name tag for the likes of Richard Branson, Lord Sugar etc.  Great talk Leslie and really good to meet you and connect!

Next up is the lovely Chloe Palmer.  We met a couple years ago networking and have continued to be friends and business pals, plus a casino “Ladies Night”.  Through her business TADA Events, and the music festival Gosfest, Chloe has gained valuable, inspiring and quite life changing experiences and now runs the Real Junk Food Project, Trash Cafe in Gosport.  A truly brilliant idea,  intercepting food from supermarkets, restaurants, farms and the public  from going to the landfill, cooking up in the cafe , therefore creating a community and a “pay as you feel”  for the food and service, be it in cash, time, skills or items donated.  A fantastic idea and not only for the poor!  If you would like to know more and get involved…

A big thank you to Amy Doyle who practically runs this group and I’ve already signed up for the next 4 meetings, they are that good!

See you all again at the next one!
