Unique, quirky and fun is the spirit and style for this particular wedding couple celebrating their love, getting hitched and having a whole load of fun!
Francesca & Andy’s wedding celebrations were truly a sight to see, and although I only managed to get a glimpse whilst setting up during the turnaround time, (four events on this particular day & wishing once again I could personally do them all!), chatting to beautiful bride Francesca on her special day, laughing and joking with several of her guests, bumping into “It’s All In The Swing” performing later that night too, and the super fabulous wedding photographers Richard & Joe from “Richard Edwards Photography” it was truly going to be a spectacular day!
And it was!
Add into that the quirkiness of the venue, and one of my favourite wedding venues in Portsmouth, The Groundlings Theatre is truly one the most historical, yet unique and quirky wedding venues in the area. Built in 1784, this Georgian Playhouse is Licensed for weddings and Civil Partnerships, has a fully licensed bar, exquisite restaurant, and a guest capacity for 200 people. With it’s historic environment, it’s secret doors and hidden rooms, plus a handful of ghosts, if you fancy something a little out of the ordinary for your wedding party, go and see for yourselves how warming, fascinating and splendid this historic building truly is.
